About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (PSY24971) based in Monterey, California.
I work with adults who are ready to do something about the parts of their life that aren't working. That might mean untangling a pattern that keeps showing up in your relationships, working through something painful that you've been carrying alone, or finally closing the gap between who you are in public and how you feel in private.
My approach is direct. I'm not a blank slate therapist - I'm an active participant in the work. I'll listen closely, reflect what I see, and challenge you when I think it will help you move forward. I draw on evidence based methods including cognitive behavioral therapy and relational approaches, and I adapt how I work to what each person actually needs.
I have particular experience working with high achieving adults who are used to handled things are their own, people who feel "othered" - including members of the LGBTQIA+ community and cultural minorities - and couples navigating conflict, disconnection, or betrayal. My understanding as a therapist is informed by my training and clinical experience, but also grounded by a long-held commitment to my own psychological work and developmental.
I'm also a licensed Qualified Medical Examiner (QME) within the California Workers' Compensation system, conducting psychological evaluations for workplace injury claims.
I hold a Doctorate in Psychology (PsyD) am licensed by the California Board of Psychology.
I see clients via Telehealth throughout California.
